Andermatt Swiss Alps

Our consultant and ambassador André Bossert

André Bossert is Switzerland’s most successful playing pro and the only Swiss player ever to win a European Tour Tournament and twice participate in the British Open. The pro from Zurich also won the Challenge Tour three times. ‘Bossy’ is currently among the top ten on the Senior Tour.

During his first two seasons in the Over-50 category, André Bossert played in four major tournaments. He is familiar with golf courses around the world, and he is very enthusiastic about the Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf Course: “A genuine championship course in terms of both length and degree of difficulty. The twelve level holes plus six with significant altitude differential, all embedded in the unique mountain countryside of the Ursern Valley, make this golf course very attractive. It’s astounding that the Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf Course is already at such a high level in its first official year. It is in superb condition and has all the qualities required of a tournament course.”

Our ambassador Frederic Cathomas

Frederic Cathomas is an aspiring Elite Junior Golf Amateur from Sedrun. The 18-year-old is currently attending Tenero Sport Gymnasium, one of the best golf academies in Switzerland, and one which is supported by the ASG (Swiss Golf Association). In recent years, Frederic Cathomas has been able to hold his place in the top 10 of Switzerland in his category several times. His goal, however, is to reach the very top and qualify for international tournaments.

Frederic has had a connection to Andermatt since his childhood, whether for skiing or freeriding in winter or sport climbing in summer. The Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf Course gave him the opportunity to get to know a course of the superlative class. “The course offers a challenge for everyone: the length of the holes, the strong wind and the different character of each hole. The quality, the greenkeeping, the service and the infrastructure leave nothing to be desired. I am very proud to be an ambassador for Andermatt Swiss Alps, as I can identify with the region very well and I enjoy representing it to the public.”

Our ambassador Zeno Felder

Zeno Felder has been a golf professional since 2016. Following a successful junior and amateur career, he decided to take this step at the end of 2015. His greatest victories as a junior were the Swiss Championship U-18 title and winning the Credit Suisse Junior Tour in 2010. His victories as an amateur included winning the Innerschweizer Amateur Championships three times and the Zurich Championship twice. In his first year as a professional, the player from Zug was able to easily qualify for the second stage of the European Tour Qualifying School. Zeno is currently playing on the Pro Golf Tour.

Over the years, Zeno Felder has become familiar with a great many golf courses throughout Europe and North Africa. He speaks with enthusiasm about the Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf Course: "This course is a true championship course – comparable with the very greatest courses I’ve played on. The 18 holes are a real challenge, especially when the wind and the altitude come into play. The course is in excellent condition and I can strongly recommend it to every golfer."
