Andermatt Concert Hall
With the opening of Andermatt Concert Hall, a new centre for music and culture was created. The Young Artist Concert Programme (YACP), presented by Andermatt Music, supports young soloists and chamber musicians who are already recognised in Europe as Stars of Tomorrow. The Andermatt Music Festivals offer a wide range of classical music, opera, jazz and modern symphony mash-ups.
Cultural centre in the Alps
With a brilliant concert, the Berliner Philharmoniker inaugurated the new Andermatt Concert Hall, designed by Studio Seilern Architects. This world-class forum for music represents a further flagship for the mountain village of Andermatt – in addition to the broad range of outdoor activities and the breath-taking landscape. The Concert Hall is an important milestone in Andermatt's development.
Varied music programme
The inaugural concert marks the start of the star-studded first season of the house, which this autumn will also feature three concerts in partnership with the Lucerne Festival, including the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. The programme for the new concert hall is being put together by Andermatt Music under the direction of a trio of young British producers: Maximilian Fane, Roger Granville, and Frankie Parham. They are founders of the New Generation Festival, held annually in Florence, featuring performances by young musical talents from around the world.
Ultra-modern hall with up to 650 seats
Set against the backdrop of an impressive panorama, the hall offers 650 seats and is therefore suitable for conferences, festivities, and seminars. Under the direction of Radisson Blu Reussen, the hall can be booked for such events.
