Andermatt Swiss Alps accelerates digital innovations with its own Sandbox

Innovation is more than just a buzzword for the Andermatt Swiss Alps (ASA) Group. The ASA Sandbox, launched in September 2021, further simplifies collaboration with innovative start-ups and paves the way for new digital services.
Andermatt Swiss Alps (ASA) is responsible for the development, planning and operation of the year-round destination Andermatt, where an international community finds a home away from home. The ASA Group is currently redesigning the customer experience. State-of-the-art technologies, smoothly running digital services and start-ups with game-changing ideas play an important role in this endeavour.
Focus on digitalisation
To further drive the development of new digital products and services and facilitate collaboration with start-ups, Andermatt Swiss Alps Group is launching the ASA Sandbox. The testing environment of the ASA Sandbox was developed by Andermatt Swiss Alps in partnership with Alturos Destinations AG. A sandbox offers the opportunity to further develop software in an isolated and thus protected environment. Access to real data and open APIs significantly facilitates the development and testing of new solutions.
The ASA Sandbox will be presented to the public for the first time at HackZurich, Europe's biggest hackathon. In an inspiring Tech Talk, Thomas Landis, Chief Digital Officer at Andermatt Swiss Alps, shares his experience regarding the collaboration between start-ups and established companies and gives tips on how to successfully implement digital strategies.
