Project awarded to BBKA AG
The architecture firm Brandenberger Kloter Arch. completed the Elva apartment building. They had previously designed this building in connection with the project competition in 2008 and will now execute it.

Structural specialities
The building is based on a prefabricated wood frame, but the façade has plaster elements that recall the mountains of the Gotthard Massif. The surfaces are rough and lend the structure a feeling of authenticity. The wood elements, which can be found on the balconies, among other places, evoke traditional chalet architecture. The stone and larchwood come from the canton of Valais.
