Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf Course begins its fourth season
May 27, 2019
Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf Course has been named best 18-hole course in Switzerland by the Swiss Golf Awards. "Being chosen as the best golf course in Switzerland is a great honour for the entire ASA golf team, because only Swiss golfers voted in these awards. This success reflects our great commitment and effort of the past years", explains Dani Speer, Golf Operations Manager of Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf Course.
The golf course is located in the heart of the Andermatt Golf Region and, along with the 9-hole courses at Sedrun, Source du Rhône, and Realp, is member of an association offering special conditions. Other members include various partner hotels and now also the hotel Radisson Blu Reussen in Andermatt. The Discovery Pass and Challenge Pass can be booked as a package with the guest’s chosen hotel.
The 9-hole After-Work Tournament is being held again this year at Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf Course. It starts on June 10 and takes place every other Monday, starting at 5 p.m. Format of play is standard Stableford, and the tournaments are handicap effective. Guests are welcome. The ASGI Pro AM Series is coming to Andermatt for the first time. Registration is already open. The Audi Quattro national final will also be held at Andermatt.

From vision to destination: During the past several years, Andermatt has developed into a popular year-round holiday resort with numerous attractive features: apartment buildings, hotels and chalets, a Scottish-style 18-hole golf course that offers golfers a welcome challenge, and the SkiArena, not only one of the most modern ski regions in Switzerland but also the largest in Central Switzerland, with pistes from Andermatt to Sedrun and Disentis. With its perfect blend of alpine simplicity and urban sophistication, the five-star deluxe hotel The Chedi Andermatt exudes a special magic, as does the Radisson Blu Hotel Reussen, with its public indoor pool and wellness-and-fitness area. More apartment buildings and hotels will be built in the forthcoming years.
